In His Own Words:
My favorite thing to do in my free time is to ride and train in the mountains on my bike. YES, the kind you pedal! I take regular road rides for fun and workouts… and occasionally mountain bikes. In the past, I have competed in mountain bike races, primarily the Cane Creek Series in Western North Carolina but now enjoy and am focused on racing time trail events, road races and criteriums… but still look for the challenges of 50k, 100k or greater bike races sponsored by Charity Organizations or Community Groups.
I have competed in the Assault on Mt.Mitchell twice, which is considered one of my greatest achievements to date for endurance biking. 105+ miles, 12,000 feet of climb and in 7 hours… from downtown Spartanburg to the top of the highest peak east of the Rockies… Mt.Mitchell (State Park) off the Blue Ridge Parkway.

I love the outdoors; (i.e. camping, hiking, visiting unique places and I make multiple journeys to the Outer Banks annually, where I find the beach setting one the most perfect places to rest and play.) I enjoy either playing or attending sporting events, primarily football (Go Appalachian State Mountaineers!), basketball and baseball.

I am also an avid reader of mostly non-fiction, history, political, and biography. I consider Clancy, Ludlum and Forsyth great fictional reading.
